Vacation Pictures Part 2
Bah, guess the morning post didn't stick for some reason. Anyway, a couple more pictures from Guatemala today =P. More pictures from La Jolla for the most part, since that's really all the nicer ones in the camera. From left to right: Reina ( Uncle's wife), my mother, me (>_>;), my sister, and the little guy in front is my cousin Sabastian ( not Reina's kid though). He wasn't supposed to come with us, but he whined enough to convince my aunt (the one taking the picture) to take him along. She ended up literally dragging and carrying him the majority of the time cause he was 'tired' -_-.
View from the hill that overlooks the smaller village called 'La Laguna.' A long time ago it used to be a huge lake, then somehow they drained all the water from it and filled it with farmland. I know my aunt explained it all to me, something about an underground river or something...but honestly I forgot most of it >_>. It looks so close right? Yeah, we all thought so too, so much so that we thought " hey, since we're here, lets go down there and visit *insert obscure family friend here*!".....yeah, that little hill and it's trail took us like 2 hours to wind threw ....and to make matters worse there where scary dogs there, AND the lady wasn't even there that day!! Then we had to go back uphill....yeah...not fun >_>....
Walking along the main trail back home...or this might have been one from when we just started heading out...we don't look so tired yet...
Another view of the fields~
Alright, so this thingy, this green thing right here, it my all time favorite fruit EVER~ xD. It's called an Anona ( I will never know if I spell it right). this one isn't ripe, but when they are they tend to crack open and you can see the white or pink flesh inside. The only thing that I can think of comparing it to look-wise would be a durian, but believe me, they smell and taste NOTHING alike. Just the look on the inside is simalar, but anona has a faint sweet smell to it and it tastes like honey xD. I always wish I could smuggle these home with me, but yeah, my mother always tells me no....one day, one day...>_>
That's all for now, maybe more drawings later...
